About The Position

The Teller provides customer service and performs banking transactions, including processing deposits, checks, withdrawals, and loan payments. The role also supports account opening, ATM/debit card PIN setup, record documentation, and branch operations. The schedule is 3–4 days a week and includes some Saturdays. Travel to other branches to assist with staffing may be required.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Good mathematical skills.
Basic computer knowledge.
Enthusiastic, positive, outgoing personality.

Previous cash-handling or teller experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive and process check and cash deposits, verify amounts and endorsements, and enter deposits into computer records.
Cash checks and process withdrawals after verifying signatures and customer balances.
Promote and explain financial services such as CDs, safe deposit boxes, traveler’s checks, and money orders.
Receive mortgage, consumer loan, and other payments; verify amounts due, enter payments into the computer, and generate receipts.
Count, check, and package coins and currency.
Keep teller stations stocked with forms and other supplies.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge needed for the position.
Deliver outstanding customer service.
Assist with account opening procedures.
Set up PINs for ATM/debit cards.
Document and file items into Synergy.
Travel to other branches to assist with staffing, if required.
Perform other similar, related, or assigned duties.
