About The Position

Wells Fargo is hiring a Teller for its National Branch Network. In this customer-focused, front-line role, you will support customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, accurately completing transactions and providing a welcoming, reliable experience. As a primary customer contact, you will represent the branch through attentive service and care. The role builds foundational banking skills as you learn about customers’ needs and introduce helpful products, services, and digital tools. You will identify opportunities to support customers and connect them with bankers for detailed product conversations. You will work with branch teammates to support daily operations and deliver a consistent customer experience. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching, and the position offers exposure to retail banking and potential career mobility. The position is part-time and located at the Brandy Hill Plaza branch, 7085 Mechanicsville Tpke., Mechanicsville, VA 23111. The schedule includes Saturdays. The position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or an appropriate team member.
Build relationships and listen to customers to understand everyday financial needs; connect them to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercising sound judgment and managing risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Communicate clearly, use active listening to clarify needs, and provide simple solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues for timely resolution.
