About The Position

Wells Fargo is hiring a Teller for its National Branch Network. This front-line, customer-focused role supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions. The Teller processes transactions accurately, provides a welcoming and reliable experience, and represents the branch through attentive service and care. The role builds foundational banking skills by helping identify customers’ needs, introducing relevant products, services, and digital tools, and connecting customers with bankers for more detailed product discussions. Tellers work with branch teammates to support daily operations and deliver consistent customer service. Wells Fargo provides training, coaching, and a team-based culture to support growth and career mobility. The position may be located in Sylva, Waynesville, Franklin, or Cashiers, North Carolina. The work schedule will include Saturdays. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build relationships, listen to customers’ everyday financial needs, and connect them with relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercise sound judgment, and manage risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Use clear communication and active listening to clarify customer needs and explain solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues for timely resolution.
