About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a part-time Teller to join its National Branch Network at the Closter, New Jersey office. This front-line, customer-focused role supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions. The Teller processes transactions accurately, welcomes customers, understands their needs, and helps provide a reliable customer experience. The role also involves introducing customers to relevant products, services, and digital tools, and connecting them with a banker when they need detailed product guidance. Tellers work closely with branch teammates to support daily operations and deliver consistent service. The position provides exposure to retail banking and an opportunity to build foundational banking skills, with training, coaching, and potential for long-term growth and career mobility. The position is based at 617 Piermont Rd, Closter, NJ 07624. The schedule will include Saturdays, and the position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship. The listed base pay range is $22.00 to $27.50; employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities. Pay may vary based on factors including performance, skills, experience, and work location.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine service transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build relationships and listen to customers to understand everyday financial needs.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, using sound judgment and managing risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Communicate clearly, clarify customer needs, and provide simple solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues for timely resolution.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; identify and escalate issues and make sound risk decisions.
