About The Position

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rate, ratio, and percent, draw and interpret bar graphs).
Ability to use good judgment in making routine and complex decisions.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to sell products and services.
Ability to accurately handle large sums of cash.
Goal-oriented and able to achieve individual and team goals.
Flexibility and ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to quickly learn other bank-related programs.
High school degree or equivalent required.
Six months to one-year of related experience and/or training in cash handling or customer service required.

Responsibilities

Greet all bank customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Operate a teller window to process a variety of transactions including deposits, withdrawals, savings and checking transactions, cash advances, loan payments, and credit card payments.
Enter customer transactions into the computer system and issue computer-generated receipts.
Assist customers with account-related questions and place holds on accounts as appropriate.
Order daily supply of cash, count incoming cash, and balance currency, coins, and checks in the cash drawer.
Maintain good customer relations by providing courteous and efficient service.
Develop new business by acquainting non-customers with bank services and presenting current customers with additional services.
Identify and respond to cross-sale opportunities by referring customers to the appropriate bank personnel.
Record customer interactions in the bank's CRM platform.
