About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a part-time Teller to join its National Branch Network at Shops at Silver Hill in District Heights, Maryland. In this customer-focused, front-line role, the Teller supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, accurately completing transactions and providing a welcoming, reliable experience. The Teller is a primary point of contact for customers and represents the branch through attentive service, care, and accuracy. The role involves learning about customers’ needs, introducing helpful products, services, and digital banking tools, and connecting customers with the appropriate banker for more detailed product conversations. The Teller works closely with branch teammates to support daily operations and deliver a consistent customer experience. Wells Fargo describes the position as an opportunity to gain foundational retail banking skills and pursue career growth with training, coaching, and a team-based culture. The schedule will include Saturdays. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build relationships and actively listen to understand customers’ everyday financial needs.
Connect customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercise sound judgment, and manage risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Use clear communication and active listening to clarify customer needs and explain solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues for timely resolution.
