About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a part-time Teller to join its National Branch Network at the Waynesboro, Virginia branch. In this front-line, customer-focused role, the Teller supports everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, accurately completes transactions, and provides a welcoming and reliable customer experience. The Teller is a primary point of contact for customers and represents the branch through strong service, attention to detail, and care. The role develops foundational banking skills by helping customers understand their needs and introducing helpful products, services, and digital tools. The Teller identifies opportunities to support customers and connects them with the appropriate banker for detailed product conversations. Working closely with branch teammates, the Teller helps daily operations run smoothly and delivers a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching, and the position offers exposure to retail banking and potential career mobility. The position is based at 216 Wayne Ave, Waynesboro, VA 22980. The schedule includes Saturdays, and the position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The advertised base pay range is $20.00–$25.00; employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process transactions and engage customers with care to deliver a positive and reliable branch experience.
Process routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build customer relationships, actively listen to understand everyday financial needs, and connect customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercise sound judgment, and manage risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Use communication and active listening skills to clarify customer needs and provide clear solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues for timely resolution.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; escalate and remediate issues as appropriate.
