About The Position

Wells Fargo is hiring a Teller for its National Branch Network. This front-line, customer-focused role supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions. The Teller accurately processes transactions and provides a welcoming, reliable experience as a primary point of contact for customers. The Teller builds foundational banking skills by learning about customers’ needs and introducing helpful products, services, and digital tools. The role identifies opportunities to support customers and connects them with the appropriate banker for detailed product conversations. The Teller works closely with branch teammates to support daily operations and deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Wells Fargo provides training, coaching, and a team-based culture, and the role offers exposure to retail banking and potential career mobility. The position is located at 801 S Sterling St, Morganton, NC 28655-3934. The schedule will include Saturdays. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process transactions and engage customers with care to provide a positive and reliable branch experience.
Process routine service transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking methods, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build relationships and actively listen to understand everyday financial needs; connect customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercising sound judgment and managing risk in line with policies and controls.
Clarify customer needs and provide clear, simple solutions or next steps using effective communication and active listening.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues to support timely resolution.
Follow applicable Wells Fargo risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; escalate and remediate issues as required.
