About The Position

Wells Fargo is hiring a Teller for its National Branch Network. In this customer-focused, front-line role, the Teller supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, processes transactions accurately, and provides a welcoming, reliable experience. The Teller is a primary point of contact who represents the branch through attentive service and care. The role builds foundational banking skills by helping Tellers understand customer needs, introduce relevant products, services, and digital tools, and connect customers with bankers for more detailed conversations. Tellers work with branch teammates to support daily operations and a consistent customer experience. Wells Fargo describes the position as an entry point to retail banking and long-term career growth, supported by training, coaching, and a team-based culture. The position is at 3217 Macon Rd., Columbus, Georgia 31906. The work schedule includes Saturdays. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine service transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build relationships and listen actively to understand everyday financial needs; connect customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercise sound judgment, and manage risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Communicate clearly, ask questions to clarify customer needs, and explain solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues for timely resolution.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; escalate and help remediate issues as appropriate.
