About The Position

Kemba Credit Union is a not-for-profit organization based in West Chester, Ohio. The Teller provides paying and receiving services, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks, money orders, and cash advances. The role also balances daily transactions and verifies cash totals, performs assigned side-jobs, and assists other Tellers as needed. The Teller ensures members are served promptly and professionally.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Knowledge of Teller policies and procedures.
Basic understanding of Credit Union operations.
One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
Good communication skills.
Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
Good math skills.
Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment, including adding machines, typewriters, copy machines, coin and money counting machines, and telephones.
Good typing skills.

Responsibilities

Receive share deposits and loan payments in person or by mail.
Process cash advances, cashier’s checks, money orders, and similar transactions.
Disburse cash or check share withdrawals in person.
Process assigned cash and transactions and balance them at the end of the day.
Receive and process payroll deduction starts, stops, and increases.
Verify transactions, monitor deposit amounts, and examine documents for endorsement and negotiability.
Detect and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Actively cross-sell Credit Union products and services.
Perform assigned side-jobs and assist other Tellers with duties as required.
Ensure members are served promptly and professionally.
