About The Position

Coastal1 Credit Union is hiring a part-time Teller Floater to cover branches in Warwick, East Greenwich, and North Kingstown. The position is eligible for mileage reimbursement for travel from the work location to branch locations at IRS mileage rates.

As a member’s first point of contact, the Teller develops member relationships and provides knowledgeable, courteous service. The role helps members understand Coastal1’s products, services, and technology banking products, and proactively assists members in using self-service tools.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior cash-handling experience.

• Previous customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent member service throughout each interaction.
• Process member transactions accurately and promptly, including withdrawals, deposits, check cashing, loan payments, cashier’s checks, money orders, and inquiries; handle transactions discreetly and confidentially.
• Follow established processes and guidelines, and comply with applicable policies, laws, and regulations; complete assigned compliance training within required time frames.
• Assist members with general account questions within the scope of the role and refer them to the appropriate team member for more in-depth services when needed.
• Learn about products and services and navigate internal portals to find answers efficiently.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Help members understand products, services, and technology banking products, including by assisting them with self-service tools.
