About The Position

Presbyterian Homes & Services is hiring a RN Telephone Triage Nurse. The Triage Nurse provides after hours and weekend telephone triage support to our Assisted Living Communities. This position will office out of one of our PHS locations and/or from home. This position requires a current RN license for Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. Assisted Living Nursing and/or phone triage experience is preferred. The position is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

Requirements

Registered nurse with current licensure with the State Board of Nursing in state(s) in which PHS operates.
Interest in gerontological nursing, rehabilitative and restorative clinical practices.
Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.

Nice To Haves

Assisted Living Nursing and/or phone triage experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Providing telephone response and delegation to the Resident Assistants (Home Health Aids) working within the Assisted Living settings of PHS.
Requiring competencies in clinical assessment, computer skills and customer service.
Knowing and supporting regulatory and clinical practices in providing direction and clinical (over- the- phone) assessment to support the residents in providing high quality care.
