About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate telehealth psychiatrist to deliver psychiatric care across multiple states. The role provides emergency and routine psychiatric care to residents in long-term care settings through a flexible and accessible care model. The psychiatrist works closely with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatric nurse practitioners (NPs), licensed clinical social workers (LISWs), and behavioral health care managers, to provide high-quality, evidence-based care. The psychiatrist conducts evaluations, manages medication, and develops treatment plans via telehealth. The role also includes maintaining accurate electronic medical record (EMR) documentation, ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards, and supporting smooth transitions between in-person and virtual care. Telehealth services must follow applicable state and federal regulations, including CMS, Medicare, and telehealth-specific rules.

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board-certified in Psychiatry.
Eligible for licensure in multiple states; PHP can assist with licensure.
Ability to collaborate with psychiatric nurse practitioners, LISWs, and behavioral health care managers in a virtual environment.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and telehealth-specific documentation practices.
Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
