Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist - 100% Telehealth
About The Position
Iris Telehealth is hiring board-certified Consult-Liaison Psychiatrists to provide remote psychiatric evaluations and consultations for inpatient and emergency department teams across multiple hospital systems. This fully remote role involves consultative care for patients of all ages and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to expand access to behavioral healthcare. The position pays $185 per hour under a productivity-based compensation model, with an additional stipend for required Nurse Practitioner supervision. Full-time psychiatrists are eligible for a $20,000 bonus. Clinicians work 13–16 shifts per month, including 3–4 weekend shifts per month. The role includes support with licensing, credentialing, onboarding, IT, and administrative tasks, as well as malpractice coverage and upfront payment of state licensing fees. Home-office setup and 24/7 IT support are provided.
Requirements
- Board certification in psychiatry.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency.
- At least 2 years of consult-liaison experience after residency.
- Experience in acute-care psychiatric settings, such as inpatient, emergency department, crisis stabilization, consultation-liaison, acute detoxification, or other high-acuity behavioral health settings.
- Telehealth experience.
- Willingness to provide Nurse Practitioner supervision.
- Ability to work across multiple health systems and varying acuity levels.
- Must reside within the United States or a U.S. territory.
Nice To Haves
- Experience treating patients ages 5 and older, particularly in emergency department settings.
- Experience with Epic.
