About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Telehealth Psychiatrist to join our acute care team. This remote position involves providing psychiatric services primarily on weekends, focusing on comprehensive assessments, medication management, and the development of individualized treatment plans. The role requires close collaboration with other healthcare professionals and the ability to manage crisis situations effectively. Maintaining accurate and confidential medical records is essential, along with ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

Licensed in FL, interstate compact preferred; NC license a plus.
2 years of inpatient experience (trauma experience required).
Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry.
Valid and unrestricted DEA in FL.
Proficient in using Telemedicine technologies to treat patients remotely.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders.
Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed.
Create individualized treatment plans including medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
Perform chart audits, peer reviews, attend meetings, and engage in provider management.
Maintain up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
Maintain and monitor the confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review patient status to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.
Work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care.
Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management.
Comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards, and/or contracts.
