Telecom Support Intern
About The Position
The Telecom Support Intern participates in Werner Enterprises’ 11-week summer internship program, applying classroom learning in a real-world setting. The internship is based at the company’s Corporate Headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska, with some remote and off-site opportunities potentially available. It includes dedicated job training and learning opportunities in a collaborative, inclusive work environment. Paid housing or housing assistance may be available. The intern supports Zoom and Five9 tools used for meetings, webinars, chat, phone, and contact center operations. The role also includes troubleshooting, service monitoring, preparing user documentation, supporting system integrations and user onboarding, and gathering usage data and feedback to help improve platform use. Internship development activities include Lessons with Leaders sessions, a mentor program, intern activities, community support events, networking, and a summer project proposal and presentation. Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Support setup, configuration, and daily management of Zoom meetings, webinars, chat, phone, and Five9 contact center tools.
- Troubleshoot Zoom and Five9 user issues, including audio/video problems, connection issues, and platform errors, escalating to senior staff when necessary.
- Help monitor Zoom and Five9 service performance and uptime, and promptly report outages or disruptions.
- Create and update user guides, FAQs, and training materials for Zoom and Five9.
- Help integrate Zoom and Five9 with other business systems, including Salesforce and bot applications, to support seamless workflows.
- Assist with onboarding new Zoom and Five9 users, including account setup and basic training.
- Gather usage statistics and feedback to help optimize platform use and suggest improvements.
