About The Position

HCA Florida Blake Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring a Telecom Operator. The role answers incoming calls, routes callers to the appropriate extensions, provides information, performs overhead paging, monitors PBX alarms, and supports communication during emergencies and disasters. The operator also assists with maintaining directories and on-call lists. HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 380-plus-bed hospital in Bradenton, Florida, with a 13-acre campus. The hospital is the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota, and DeSoto Counties. It offers services including 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement, and inpatient rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

Answer multiple incoming telephone lines.
Obtain necessary information from callers and transfer calls to the correct extensions.
Provide information to callers as appropriate.
Perform overhead paging.
Monitor alarms located in PBX and notify appropriate personnel.
Respond quickly to disaster and emergency situations.
Assist with maintaining directories and on-call lists.
