About The Position

The TeenQuest Facilitator I team members will work directly with high school students, providing support and positive relationship building techniques, while facilitating core employment competencies.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ career experience, workforce or youth development
  • Must be passionate about the development and well-being of teens
  • Must be flexible, dependable, and stable.
  • Must be able to handle a high stress environment and still interact appropriately
  • Must be available to arrive at a program site as early as 2:30p.m.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with large and diverse groups of students and adults
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic
  • Strong critical thinking and problem resolution skills
  • Must be able to read, write, and type using Microsoft Word
  • Should be comfortable using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and can participate in virtual meetings via Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and/or Google Meet
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass a criminal history background check

Responsibilities

  • Deliver established curriculum in an engaging, student-centered manner and modify activities as needed to support
  • Become knowledgeable of the TeenQuest program modules and apply learning objectives
  • Administer required program components
  • Participate in pre and post meetings with site facilitation team members
  • Ability to utilize crisis management strategies
  • Assist with maintaining and managing site facilitation
  • Practice effective time management and conflict management techniques with site facilitation team members and students
  • Attend bi-weekly meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager
