About The Position

Provide support to AEA staff in the use and maintenance of technology, including hardware, software, network systems, data systems, application development, and related technology. The role supports AEA technology plans and services, maintains and troubleshoots devices and applications, and helps employees use technology effectively.

Requirements

Two-year post-secondary education or equivalent technical training or certification.
Two years of work experience providing computer and technology support.
Proficiency with Mac IOS and Google products.
Basic knowledge of scripting.
Knowledge of computing devices, software interfaces, wired and wireless network systems, routers, and firewalls.

Responsibilities

Assist in promoting and implementing the AEA’s technology plan.
Research technology solutions and make recommendations to the director of information technology.
Develop user-specific applications to support AEA services and meet staff needs.
Work with AEA staff to identify data and information-processing needs and develop suitable computing or application systems.
Maintain technology devices and support staff with malfunctioning devices.
Troubleshoot technology programs, products, and applications; design applications or programs as needed to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Monitor and respond promptly to technology support requests.
Provide customer service to AEA employees using creative solutions, quick thinking, resourcefulness, and patience.
Support devices including computers, Chromebooks, monitors, keyboards, mice, hard drives, and audiovisual equipment.
Maintain user devices, including upgrades and configuration.
Assist with deployment, configuration, and support of operating systems on desktop and mobile devices.
Train new and existing employees on technology devices.
Maintain knowledge of AEA applications to support employees and train other technology department staff as needed.
