About The Position

Henley Enterprises, Inc. and its associated entities are the largest privately owned franchisee of Valvoline Instant Oil Change, operating on both the East and West Coasts. The company provides drive-through oil changes and other light vehicle maintenance services. Its corporate offices are in Irvine, California, and Newton, Massachusetts, and the company projects continued growth. The IT Systems & Development Intern gains hands-on experience supporting business applications, software development initiatives, process improvement efforts, and enterprise technology systems. Working with the Applications, Systems, and Development teams, the intern assists with application configuration, data analysis, automation opportunities, and small-scale development projects. The role contributes to projects intended to improve organizational efficiency and scalability while developing an understanding of how technology supports business operations. Requirements

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated interest in business applications, process automation, systems integration, or software development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing business needs.
Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Self-motivated, with a willingness to take ownership of assigned projects and tasks.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with technology platforms, databases, scripting, or software development concepts.
A current valid driver's license and insurability rating may be preferred for occasional travel requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist with configuration, administration, and ongoing maintenance of business applications, including Zendesk, ClickUp, and other enterprise platforms.
Participate in small development projects, enhancements, and process improvement initiatives under the guidance of senior team members.
Document business processes, system workflows, and application data flows.
Support data validation, reporting, and analysis across multiple business systems.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive or manual tasks and assist in developing and testing automation solutions.
Perform routine system administration, application maintenance, and quality assurance activities.
Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), troubleshooting, and validation of software enhancements and system changes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, research solutions, and support implementation efforts.
Provide updates, status reports, and completion information to project leads and managers through meetings, email, and other communication channels.
Perform other duties as assigned.
