About The Position

Barilla’s 2027 Summer Internship Program offers a paid, 10–12-week internship with the IT group at the Corporate Americas Headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois. The intern will gain real-world experience and contribute to projects while developing expertise and problem-solving capabilities in a food manufacturing environment. The role provides exposure to several core IT competencies and involves working with local and global teams. The position follows a hybrid work model. Employees are expected to work onsite three days per week, including Mondays and Wednesdays as Core Days, plus one additional day based on the needs of the role and team. Work arrangements may change based on business needs, operational requirements, or company policy updates.

Requirements

Have completed the junior year of college with a concentration in Computer Science, Data Science, or another STEM major.
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Have effective project management and time management skills.
Be self-driven and able to work independently.
Have solid presentation and communication skills.
Be able to prioritize and multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
Have the ability to work in teams and build good relationships.
Demonstrate a high degree of personal integrity and work ethic.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Nice To Haves

Prior experience imaging and deploying laptops.
Prior experience with Azure or other cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities

Evaluate which systems could be moved to cloud services and how to perform the migration.
Create reports on the helpdesk and inventory management system to better manage requests and inventories.
Image and deploy new laptops and mobile devices for employees.
Provide helpdesk coverage and support users as needed.
Collaborate with local and global teams on support as needed.
