About The Position

The Branch Installation Technician deploys, installs, and supports technology systems in Edward Jones branch offices throughout an assigned territory. The position leads branch installation projects from start to finish, covering structured cabling, workstation deployment, networking equipment, telephony, audio/visual systems, and coordination of third-party contractors. The role requires strong technical knowledge, independent work, and exceptional customer service. Travel is extensive: approximately 75% of assignments involve overnight travel, including air travel, hotel stays, consecutive overnight stays, and extended time away from home. Assignments may be outside the immediate geographic area or assigned territory. A company-provided vehicle is supplied for business travel where applicable. The technician must maintain a residence within the assigned territory and reliable high-speed internet access, and carry a company-issued mobile device to respond to business communications as required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or four years of related experience in lieu of a degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling four years.
Valid driver’s license, which must be maintained.
Must be at least 21 years old for vehicle insurance.
Ability to travel extensively, including approximately 75% overnight travel, frequent air travel, hotel stays, and extended work assignments away from home.
Residence within the assigned territory.
Reliable high-speed internet access.
Carry a company-issued mobile device and respond to business communications as required.

Experience leading branch, office, or retail technology deployments.
Strong knowledge of structured cabling, cable management, and telecommunications infrastructure.
Experience installing and supporting computing, networking, telephony, print, and audio/visual systems.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote environments.
Strong organizational, documentation, and customer service skills.
Ability to support installation projects outside the assigned territory when business needs require.
Three or more years of field installation, field services, infrastructure deployment, or IT support experience, or one year as a Field Service Technician with CBIZ Network Solutions.

Responsibilities

Travel throughout the assigned territory to perform branch installations, relocations, renovations, and technology refresh projects.
Deploy computers, monitors, printers, networking equipment, telephony systems, and audio/visual equipment.
Install, terminate, test, and maintain structured cabling systems in commercial environments.
Lead on-site installation activities and coordinate Field Service Technicians, vendors, and contractors.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, telephony, and audio/visual issues during installation projects.
Ensure installations meet company standards, project requirements, and quality expectations.
Maintain project documentation, work logs, ticket updates, and asset tracking records.
Package, ship, receive, and reconcile technology assets according to Asset Management procedures.
Train and support end users after technology deployments.
Maintain inventory of tools, installation materials, company vehicle stock, and project equipment.
Coordinate installation schedules and communicate project updates with customers, project managers, and internal teams.
Operate and maintain a company vehicle in compliance with company policies and safety requirements.
Deliver exceptional customer service.
Perform related installation and project responsibilities as assigned.
