Technology Consultant (multiple positions available)
About The Position
SAP America, Inc. is hiring Technology Consultants in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to evaluate clients’ business needs and translate functional requirements into technology solutions. The role involves IT governance and strategy, architecture and transformation planning, designing and implementing IT components, and supporting system design, performance optimization, and operations. Consultants assess IT organization and support processes, identify technology enablers for business strategies, manage transformation processes, evaluate emerging technology trends, provide expert consulting, deploy solutions, and support integrated system landscapes. The position is based at SAP’s Pittsburgh location under a hybrid work model and requires up to 30% domestic travel to various and unanticipated customer sites for project support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the offered or related occupation; alternatively, a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of these fields plus three years of experience.
- Three years of experience with SAP S/4 conversion and migration.
- Three years of database administration experience, including HANA, ASE, Oracle, DB2, and MSSQL.
- Three years of experience with SAP BASIS, BTP, and FIORI administration.
- Three years of experience with SAP disaster recovery.
- Three years of experience with SAP HANA scale out, DataMart installation or administration, and XSA installation.
- Three years of experience with SAP Solution Manager, including MSC and EWA.
- Three years of experience with Unix or shell scripting.
- Three years of experience migrating products such as ILM and WWI to the cloud.
- Three years of experience with cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Responsibilities
- Define IT governance, strategies, architecture, and transformation maps.
- Design and implement IT components.
- Support system design, performance optimization, and system operations.
- Develop and assess strategies for IT organizations and support processes.
- Identify appropriate IT enablers to support business strategies.
- Define detailed IT landscapes and transformation maps based on enterprise requirements.
- Conduct IT transformation management processes in the direction of BPP.
- Evaluate innovative technology trends.
- Manage system design, performance optimization, and system operations.
- Provide expert consulting on IT components.
- Execute solution deployments.
- Support integrated system landscape setups.
- Travel domestically, up to 30%, to customer sites for project support.
