Technology Senior Consultant (multiple positions available)
About The Position
SAP America, Inc. seeks a Technology Senior Consultant at its Newtown Square, Pennsylvania location to support the technical workstream and coordinate technical stakeholders during customer engagements. The role supports detailed design and implementation of IT components, system design and performance optimization, solution deployments, technical system landscapes, and integrated on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. It also delivers expert consulting, system optimization, solution testing, issue resolution, workshops, training, project documentation, and support for proposals and escalated projects. The consultant may occasionally lead a subproject or team, mentor technology consultants, and contribute to people development and services-portfolio evolution. The position requires up to 100% domestic travel to various, unanticipated customer sites for implementations. The work model is hybrid.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, plus six years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the offered role or a related occupation; alternatively, a relevant master’s degree or foreign equivalent plus four years of experience.
- Four years of experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation and conversion, including SUM, DMO, system sizing, and Fiori deployment, and SAP ECC 6.0 administration, including ECC upgrades, Unicode conversion, transport management, and BASIS support.
- Four years of experience with cloud migration and infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and RISE with SAP.
- Four years of SAP BASIS administration experience, including installation, patching, OS/DB migration, and transport administration.
- Four years of application lifecycle management experience with Solution Manager or Cloud ALM deployments.
- Four years of database installation and administration experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, DB2, MaxDB, and SAP HANA, and operating-system administration experience with UNIX, Linux, and Windows.
- Four years of experience with DevOps and automation, including Agile/Scrum, JIRA, ServiceNow, release management, or deployment automation.
- Four years of experience providing services sales support, solutioning, building estimates, solution scoping, implementation strategy, and technical architecture.
- Two years of experience with SAP HANA database migration, HANA Cloud deployment, administration, system replication, and high availability and disaster recovery.
- Two years of SAP integration experience with SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Platform Integration, or SAP BTP Integration Suite.
- Two years of process management and optimization experience with SAP Signavio.
- Ability to travel up to 100% domestically to customer sites for implementations.
Responsibilities
- Support the technical workstream and coordinate technical stakeholders in an engagement.
- Design and implement IT components; support system design, performance optimization, and system operations.
- Explain complex technical aspects to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Coordinate delivery activities with technology partners.
- Plan and execute solution deployments, leveraging SAP technology platforms and supporting transformation toward the Intelligent Enterprise.
- Implement and support technical system landscapes and connectivity for integrated on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments using current methodologies.
- Deliver technology-component expert consulting and system optimization services.
- Support solution proposals, bid management, and escalated projects.
- Occasionally take responsibility as a subproject lead or team lead for service delivery.
- Support line managers in people development tasks and mentor technology consultants.
- Deliver customer workshops and trainings.
- Create project and service-delivery documentation.
- Support evolution of the relevant services portfolio, potentially owning a service or contributing portfolio updates.
- Support solution testing and issue resolution.
