Technology Senior Consultant (multiple positions available)
About The Position
SAP America, Inc. seeks a Technology Senior Consultant at its Newtown Square, Pennsylvania location to support technical workstreams and coordinate technical stakeholders in customer engagements. The role supports design, implementation, optimization, deployment, and operation of technical components and system landscapes, including on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. It also contributes to SAP platform adoption and customer transformation toward the Intelligent Enterprise. The consultant provides expert technology services, supports solution proposals and bid management, helps resolve escalated project issues, and may occasionally lead a sub-project, team, or service delivery activity. The role includes customer workshops and training, project and service documentation, solution testing, issue resolution, mentoring, and support for people development and the evolution of the services portfolio. The position requires up to 100% domestic travel to customer sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and six years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation; alternatively, a master's degree or foreign equivalent in one of these fields and four years of relevant experience.
- Four years of experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation and conversion, including SUM, DMO, system sizing, and Fiori deployment, and SAP ECC 6.0 administration, including ECC upgrades, Unicode conversion, transport management, and BASIS support.
- Four years of experience with cloud migration and infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and RISE with SAP.
- Four years of experience with SAP BASIS administration, including installation, patching, OS/DB migration, and transport administration.
- Four years of application lifecycle management experience with Solution Manager or Cloud ALM deployments.
- Four years of database installation and administration involving Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, DB2, MaxDB, and SAP HANA, and operating system administration involving UNIX, Linux, and Windows.
- Four years of experience with DevOps and automation, including Agile/Scrum, JIRA, ServiceNow, release management, or deployment automation.
- Four years of experience providing services sales support, solutioning, building estimates, solution scoping, implementation strategy, and technical architecture.
- Two years of experience with SAP HANA database migration, HANA Cloud deployment, administration, system replication, and high availability and disaster recovery.
- Two years of SAP integration experience with SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Platform Integration, or SAP BTP Integration Suite.
- Two years of experience with process management and optimization using SAP Signavio.
- Ability to travel up to 100% domestically to various customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement IT components, and support system design, performance optimization, and system operation.
- Explain complex technical aspects to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Coordinate delivery activities with technology partners.
- Plan and execute solution deployments.
- Use SAP's latest technology platforms and support transformation toward the Intelligent Enterprise.
- Implement and support technical system landscapes, including connectivity across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Deliver technology-specific expert consulting and system optimization services.
- Support solution proposals, bid management, and escalated projects.
- Occasionally take responsibility as a sub-project lead or team lead for service delivery.
- Support line managers with people development tasks and mentor technology consultants.
- Deliver customer workshops and training.
- Create project documentation and document delivered services.
- Support the evolution of the services portfolio, and own or update services where applicable.
- Support solution testing and issue resolution.
