Technology Senior Consultant (multiple positions available)
About The Position
SAP America, Inc. seeks a Technology Senior Consultant in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, to support the technical workstream and coordinate technical stakeholders during engagements. The role supports the design, implementation, deployment, operation, and optimization of technical solutions and integrated system landscapes, including on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. It also supports transformation toward the Intelligent Enterprise and the use of SAP’s latest technology platforms. The consultant provides expert services for technology components, supports solution proposals and bid management, and may assist with escalated projects. The role may occasionally assume sub-project or team leadership, contribute to people development, mentor technology consultants, and deliver customer workshops and training. It also includes creating project and service documentation, supporting solution testing and issue resolution, and contributing to the evolution of the services portfolio.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, and six years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation; alternatively, a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of these fields and four years of experience.
- Four years of experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation and conversion, including SUM, DMO, system sizing, and Fiori deployment, and SAP ECC 6.0 administration, including ECC upgrades, Unicode conversion, transport management, and BASIS support.
- Four years of experience with cloud migration and infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and RISE with SAP.
- Four years of SAP BASIS administration experience, including installation, patching, OS/DB migration, and transport administration.
- Four years of application lifecycle management experience with Solution Manager or Cloud ALM deployments.
- Four years of database installation and administration experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, DB2, MaxDB, and SAP HANA, and operating system administration experience with UNIX, Linux, and Windows.
- Four years of DevOps and automation experience involving Agile/Scrum, JIRA, ServiceNow, release management, or deployment automation.
- Four years of experience providing services sales support, solutioning, building estimates, solution scoping, implementation strategy, and technical architecture.
- Two years of experience with SAP HANA database migration, HANA Cloud deployment, administration, system replication, and high availability and disaster recovery.
- Two years of SAP integration experience with SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Platform Integration, or SAP BTP Integration Suite.
- Two years of experience in process management and optimization with SAP Signavio.
- Ability to travel up to 100% domestically to various, unanticipated customer sites for implementations.
Responsibilities
- Support the technical workstream and coordinate technical stakeholders in engagements.
- Design and implement IT components, and support system design, performance optimization, and system operations.
- Explain complex technical aspects to stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
- Coordinate delivery activities with technology partners.
- Plan and execute solution deployments.
- Use SAP’s latest technology platforms and reinforce their benefits.
- Support transformation toward the Intelligent Enterprise.
- Implement and support technical system landscapes, including setup and connectivity for on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Deliver technology component-specific expert consulting and system optimization services.
- Support solution proposals, bid management, and escalated projects.
- Occasionally take responsibility as a sub-project lead or team lead for service delivery.
- Support line managers in people development tasks and mentor technology consultants.
- Deliver customer workshops and training.
- Create project documentation and documentation of delivered services.
- Support the evolution of the relevant services portfolio, including owning a service or supporting portfolio updates.
- Support solution testing and issue resolution.
