Technology Assistant - McGrath Institute Online Learning
About The Position
The Technology Assistant supports the daily operations of online courses at the McGrath Institute. The McGrath Institute for Church Life partners with Catholic leaders, parishes, and schools to address pastoral challenges through research, education, and formation. STEP and Camino provide online, not-credit-bearing, courses in Theology, serving lay leaders, Catholic education professionals, and diaconate formation. The offerings typically involve roughly 20-30 courses operating in each of 5 sessions per year. This is a temporary role, and the workload will likely fluctuate based on the course calendar, offering flexible hours (typically 10–20 hours per week).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with digital learning tools including Canvas or other LMS
- Experience with Panopto or other video editing tools
- Attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Bilingual English-Spanish
Nice To Haves
- Academic background in Online Learning or Theology
Responsibilities
- Responsible for setting up in courses Canvas, including ensuring that Zoom links, calendars, and evaluations are created, and correct.
- Manages course close-out activities at the end of each session.
- Provides basic technical support for course facilitators and participants.
- Maintains contact list in Hubspot.
