Technology Assistant - McGrath Institute Online Learning
About The Position
The Technology Assistant supports the daily operations of online courses at the McGrath Institute for Church Life. The McGrath Institute partners with Catholic leaders, parishes, and schools to address pastoral challenges through research, education, and formation. The STEP and Camino programs offer online, not-credit-bearing, courses in Theology, serving lay leaders, Catholic education professionals, and diaconate formation. This is a temporary role with flexible hours, typically 10-20 hours per week, with workload fluctuating based on the course calendar. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with digital learning tools including Canvas or other LMS.
- Experience with Panopto or other video editing tools.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Bilingual English-Spanish.
Nice To Haves
- Academic background in Online Learning or Theology.
Responsibilities
- Setting up courses in Canvas, including ensuring Zoom links, calendars, and evaluations are created and correct.
- Managing course close-out activities at the end of each session.
- Providing basic technical support for course facilitators and participants.
- Maintaining contact lists in Hubspot.
