About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic for a mechanic/technician role. The position performs preventive maintenance, diagnoses issues, and repairs equipment in a safe and effective manner to minimize downtime. Equipment varies by location and may include aerial work platforms, general construction tools and equipment, and, at specialty locations, large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas equipment. The role may require providing mechanic’s tools of the trade and working indoors or outdoors as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.

Nice To Haves

• Some trade school or equivalent training.
• 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment, heavy equipment, or specialty lines equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language) may be required based on location needs.
