Technician - Level 3
About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Technician to perform preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on rental equipment safely and effectively to minimize downtime. The fleet varies by location and may include aerial work platforms, general construction tools and equipment, large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas-related equipment. The role may require providing tools of the trade and working indoors or outdoors as the job requires. The position involves a safety-focused team environment and offers on-the-job training and opportunities to develop skills for service or operations management careers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- The physical ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors when required by the job.
Nice To Haves
- Some trade school or equivalent training is desired.
- Five or more years of Technician experience with similar diesel equipment, heavy equipment, or specialty-lines equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment is strongly preferred.
- May need to provide tools of the trade.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Conduct advanced diagnostics.
- Make complex equipment repairs safely and effectively to avoid downtime.
- Work on equipment that may include aerial work platforms, general construction tools and equipment, generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas-related equipment.
