Technician - Level 3
About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Technician to perform preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on rental equipment safely and effectively to help avoid downtime. The fleet varies by location and primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty locations may include large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas equipment. The role offers opportunities to work on a variety of equipment and develop skills for a career track in service or operations management, in a safety-focused environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to meet physical demands including bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required.
Nice To Haves
- Some trade school or equivalent training is desired.
- Five or more years of Technician experience with similar diesel equipment, heavy equipment, or specialty-lines equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment is strongly preferred.
- May need to provide tools of the trade.
