About The Position
Morrie’s Auto Group is hiring a Technician at Morrie's Eau Claire Subaru in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The role involves diagnosing, inspecting, testing, and repairing vehicle systems and components, as well as preparing vehicle damage repair estimates. Technicians use diagnostic equipment, power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to complete repairs accurately and efficiently. The position is full-time and offers an hourly salary range of $21.00–$42.00. Newly hired technicians may qualify, based on experience, for a sign-on bonus in the form of a toolbox and tools or a bonus of up to $5,000.
Requirements
- Able to work flexible hours and on Saturdays.
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
- Able to pass a background check.

- For entry-level applicants, working knowledge of cars is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair problems involving engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and similar systems.
- Test vehicle systems and components to verify that they are secure and functioning properly.
- Drive vehicles for testing purposes or use equipment such as hand-held and onboard compression gauges or diagnostic computers.
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy when diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
- Follow a checklist to examine critical vehicle parts.
- Inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other potentially problematic items.
- Use power tools such as pneumatic wrenches to remove bolts.
- Use machine tools, such as grinding machines and lathes, to rebuild brakes.
- Use common hand tools, including screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers, to work on small-scale parts.
- Write vehicle damage repair estimates.
