About The Position
The Technician performs repairs and preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, service trucks, and other applicable fleet vehicles. The role diagnoses and troubleshoots vehicle and equipment issues, maintains repair and maintenance records, ensures DOT compliance, and supports inventory and reporting needs while following applicable safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on service trucks, including inspections, tire rotations, and oil changes.
- Collaborate with the repair team to diagnose vehicle problems and plan repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed on vehicles.
- Repair, modify, and perform preventive maintenance on applicable fleet vehicles.
- Complete required preventive maintenance for equipment operations.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions.
- Inspect fleet vehicles for DOT compliance, including brake maintenance.
- Complete required daily reporting.
- Maintain inventories of equipment, parts, and supplies by checking stock levels.
- Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Follow safe work practices and comply with Company, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
