About The Position

The Senior Technician performs repairs and preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, service trucks, and other applicable fleet vehicles and equipment. The role includes diagnosing mechanical issues, maintaining DOT compliance, completing required reports, and keeping the work environment safe and clean while following Company, DOT, and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on service trucks, including inspections, tire rotations, and oil changes.
• Collaborate with the repair team to diagnose vehicle problems and plan repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs performed on vehicles.
• Repair, modify, and perform preventive maintenance on applicable fleet vehicles.
• Complete required preventive maintenance to maintain equipment operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions.
• Inspect fleet vehicles for DOT compliance, including brake maintenance.
• Complete required daily reporting.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock levels.
• Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Follow safe work practices and comply with Company, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
