About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technician to join a busy practice. This is a full-time opportunity. The Technician gathers and documents patients' medical and eye history in the EHR system, prepares examination and treatment rooms, and performs pre-exam screenings and diagnostic tests. Training is provided for testing and instrument maintenance. The Technician also assists physicians during minor procedures as needed and follows company policies and procedures.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

Prior medical or ophthalmic experience is preferred but not required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

Gather and document patients' medical and eye history using the EHR system.
Prepare examination and treatment rooms for patient visits.
Perform pre-exam screenings and diagnostic tests, including visual acuity and color vision testing, auto-lensometry and autorefraction, tonometry, Amsler grid, and pupil evaluation.
Perform additional testing as required.
Assist physicians during minor procedures as needed.
Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic and surgical instruments.
Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
