About The Position

Buzzi Unicem USA is seeking a Technician for its Cape Girardeau Alternate Fuels Facility. The role supports facility operations by receiving and documenting fuel-stream shipments, sampling waste streams, managing drum inventories and processing, delivering and injecting solid waste residues into the kiln, conducting inspections, and performing repairs and housekeeping. The Technician is expected to work safely and productively and communicate with other technicians and supervisors to help meet facility objectives. Starting pay is $25.82. Candidates must be willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts and weekends.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts and weekends.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Receive fuel-stream shipments and verify that all documentation required by government agencies is compliant.
Sample waste streams delivered to the facility according to established procedures and deliver samples to the Laboratory for testing.
Inventory drum deliveries according to the prescribed methodology to support blending to established burn specifications.
Process drums of waste streams in the drum processing area according to procedures established by facility supervision.
Deliver pails of solid waste residues generated at the facility to the kiln and inject them into the kiln for destruction.
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of facility areas and equipment as designated on inspection lists.
Repair electrical and mechanical equipment as directed by supervisors.
Perform housekeeping duties needed to keep the Alternate Fuels facility orderly and clean.
Work safely and productively according to established guidelines.
Maintain communication with other technicians to accomplish facility objectives.
Maintain dialogue with supervision to perform duties effectively and accomplish facility objectives.
