About The Position

Bob Bell Kia is seeking an experienced Technician with Kia or Hyundai experience. Technicians are paid flat rate, with earnings stated as up to $75,000–$125,000+. A sign-on bonus of up to $6,000 is available for certified technicians. The shop is equipped with new technology and equipment, is air-conditioned and OSHA-certified to current air-quality standards, and offers a productive, clean, professional work environment. The role involves completing repair orders, testing and diagnosing vehicles and components, maintaining and repairing automotive systems, communicating additional service needs and repair estimates to Service Advisors, and performing warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of Service Technician experience.
• Kia or Hyundai experience is needed.
• B-level qualifications, including diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and perform service procedures.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Kia certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership requirements.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Communicate directly with Service Advisors about additional service needs and provide estimates of the time required for additional repairs.
• Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
