About The Position

Bob Bell Kia is seeking an experienced Technician with Kia or Hyundai experience. Technicians are paid flat rate, with stated earnings of $75,000–$125,000, and a sign-on bonus of up to $6,000 is available for certified technicians. The role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles and completing work according to repair orders and manufacturer specifications. The shop is equipped with newer technology and equipment, is air-conditioned, and is described as clean, professional, and highly productive. Requirements

• At least 2 years of Service Technician experience.
• Kia or Hyundai experience.
• B-level qualifications, including diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to learn new technology and perform service and repair procedures.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership requirements.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so customers can be informed when additional service is needed.
• Estimate the time needed for additional repairs.
• Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
