About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic for an entrepreneurial, empowering, and safety-focused workplace. The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime and keep work safe and effective. The fleet varies by location and primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty locations may also service large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas equipment. The position offers opportunities to build skills across a variety of makes and models and develop a career track in service or operations management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Some trade school or equivalent training.
- Three to five years of mechanic experience with similar diesel or heavy equipment, or specialty-lines equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment; strongly preferred.
- Mechanic’s tools of the trade may be needed.
- Bilingual ability in Spanish or another language may be required based on location needs.
