Technician - Level 2
About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a mechanic/technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair equipment safely and effectively to avoid downtime. The fleet varies by location and primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty-line locations may also include large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas-related equipment. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of equipment and develop skills for a career track in service or operations management, in a safety-focused environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.
Nice To Haves
- Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
- Three to five years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment, heavy equipment, or specialty-line equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish or another language may be required based on location needs.
