About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets in Walmart facilities. The role uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand and power tools, digital tools, and other equipment to complete maintenance and repair work. The primary location is 1675 S Christopher Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19148-1402. The technician receives and documents work orders through a work order management system, supports stores and associates, responds promptly to emergency maintenance calls, and inspects, operates, or tests facilities and equipment to diagnose problems. The role requires completing safety training and performing work in accordance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart safety and environmental guidelines. Physical duties include lifting up to 75 pounds, using ladders, and frequently working at heights. Walmart provides a work vehicle and tools. Compensation packages depend on candidate-specific factors, and the position is eligible for bonus incentives. Requirements

At least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Meet one of the stated experience pathways: vocational or technical HVAC/R certification plus 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls; or 4 years of experience in such a field or a related field.
Hold and maintain EPA Type I and Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
Hold a valid state-issued driver's license and be able to pass a motor vehicle record report.
Have no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions on a commercial driving record within the last five years.
Have no more than two moving violations on a commercial driving record in the last three years.
Have no preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
Have no serious traffic violations, as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
Where required, hold an HVAC-R/mechanical journeyman credential.
Be able to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a two-year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
A mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
Prior experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Prior experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and appropriate tools and equipment.
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and the practices and procedures in Walmart's refrigeration/HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
