About The Position

The Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services, is responsible for managing and executing exterior facility maintenance projects while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This role involves coordinating resources, overseeing third-party providers, and maintaining equipment and vehicles to support operational efficiency. The technician evaluates facility needs, implements sustainable upgrades, and addresses customer concerns to uphold quality standards. The team oversees exterior maintenance operations across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. Requirements

Valid, state-issued driver’s license.
No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification at a minimum of a 90 day card.
As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area.
Experience in third-party management.
Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
State/local licensing where required (for example, Florida, Texas, California).

Responsibilities

Manage department operations, including planning work assignments and prioritizing projects to ensure timely completion.
Prepare and execute budgets by developing cost estimates and approving purchases of parts, materials, and equipment.
Provide technical assistance and consultation to support procurement and verify receipt and acceptance of purchases.
Lead third-party providers through coaching and performance evaluations to maintain quality standards.
Perform seasonal exterior maintenance, snow and ice management, and equipment operation following safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies, maintaining safe and sustainable facility conditions.
Maintain vehicles and equipment, conducting inspections and coordinating required maintenance.
Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns, ensuring work meets quality and safety requirements.
