Requirements
- Proven experience in facility maintenance and exterior services, including seasonal landscaping and snow removal operations.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Ability to manage budgets, approve purchases, and conduct cost comparisons for materials and equipment.
- Skilled in operating and inspecting heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
- Demonstrated capability to lead third-party providers and conduct quality assurance inspections.
- Effective communication skills to assess and resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Commitment to upholding company policies, ethics, and integrity in all work activities.
- 2 years' experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.
- Valid state-issued driver's license
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area.
- Experience in third-party management.
- Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- State/local licensing where required (for example, Florida, Texas, California).
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the exterior services department, ensuring timely completion of projects and assignments.
- Prepare and execute budgets by developing accurate cost estimates for planned and requested projects.
- Approve purchases of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies while verifying receipt and acceptance.
- Lead and coach third-party providers, conducting performance evaluations and quality assurance inspections.
- Perform seasonal exterior maintenance, including snow and ice management, landscaping, and equipment servicing.
- Operate and maintain vehicles and heavy machinery in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Identify and implement facility upgrades to improve sustainability and reduce operating costs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies promoting safe and ethical work environment.
