About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on rental equipment in a safe and effective manner to help avoid downtime. The fleet varies by location and primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty-lines locations may include large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas-related equipment. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of equipment, develop skills for a career in service or operations management, and work with a team in a safety-focused environment. Extensive on-the-job training is offered to eligible employees. The physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
May need to provide tools of trade.
Bilingual ability in Spanish or another language may be required depending on location needs.
Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 50 pounds or more, and work indoors or outdoors as required.

Nice To Haves

Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
One to three years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty-lines equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment is strongly preferred.
