About The Position
The Technician 1, Configuration works under the direct supervision of the Team Leader, Depot, and uses established procedures to complete assigned duties. The role upgrades and configures computer systems and other customer-ordered products, from low to marginally complex. It also performs moderate to marginally advanced configuration jobs with minimal assistance from Senior Technicians and Leads, following work instruction documents, and ensures installed hardware and software are compatible and at the desired version level.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- CompTIA A+ or ITF+ certification, or obtain certification within six months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- CompTIA A+ or ITF+ certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Upgrade and configure computer systems and other products ordered by customers.
- Perform moderate to marginally advanced configuration jobs with minimal assistance from Senior Technicians and Leads, following work instruction documents.
- Ensure hardware and software installed on customer systems are compatible and at the desired version level.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
