SAIC is looking for a cleared Systems Engineering candidate to provide technical assistance and recommendations regarding the planning, implementation, and management of Battlespace Awareness and Information Operations (IO) systems. Support includes providing high quality engineering advisory services as they relate to evaluating future capability requirements, training and planning support, assisting in the development of doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures, advocating requirements in support of future effects-based warfare, assessment of Research & Development (R&D) and Science and Technology (S&T) efforts, and managing functional data for Information Operations for our U.S. Navy Information Operations customer located at the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command site in Old Town San Diego. The selected individual will provide systems engineering and technical support for ongoing Information Operations and advanced technology developments and policies to the Navy IO Customer. They will write and update material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance. This role also involves refining the work of writers and coordinating activities of writers engaged in preparing technical, scientific, medical, or other material for publication. The individual will provide subject matter expertise for development of Fleet employment of Information Operations and related systems, including CONOP, CONEMP, and OPTASK development, as well as support in meetings, technical working groups, technical exchange meetings, and Commander’s Update Briefs. Additionally, they will provide assessments, advanced development priorities, and review of R&D and S&T programs, proposals, and projects, and support the Navy IO Customer in the modernization of its worldwide IO architecture. Communication of requirements, work products, progress, and deliverable schedules to senior level civilians and military personnel is expected. The work is performed under general direction, with participation in determining assignment objectives, and planning schedules and arranging activities to accomplish objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
