Summer 2027 - Technical Support Intern

SAS•Cary, NC
•$15 - $30•Hybrid

About The Position

The Technical Support Division serves SAS customers globally, helping resolve issues related to deployment, usage, performance, and coding. This is an engineering-focused support role rather than a call center position: engineers investigate logs, replicate customer environments, troubleshoot technical issues, and identify bugs. As an intern, you will help customers troubleshoot problems or answer questions about SAS software, learn how Technical Support takes an issue from first contact through resolution, and contribute to a project that directly impacts SAS Technical Support Engineers. You will work with colleagues and customers globally, communicate through ServiceNow tickets, chat, phone, and/or Teams, and use industry-standard software and AI tools to support problem solving. The internship runs from May 18, 2027, through August 6, 2027, lasts 12 weeks, and requires an in-person start at Cary HQ. The position is hybrid, with at least three days per week in the office; applicants must be local to Cary HQ and willing to come to the office.

  • Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and impact.
  • Have experience with Windows or Unix, or both.
  • Be available to start in person at Cary HQ on May 18, 2027, and for the full internship period through August 6, 2027; the dates are not flexible.
