About The Position

The Technical Support Integration Specialist provides frontline integration support for end-user computing at acquired sites. The role manages the end-user equipment lifecycle from procurement through configuration, physical setup, and validation, and serves as the primary point of contact for onboarding acquired employees to VSE’s technology environment. The goal is to ensure users have the equipment, training, and validated access to required VSE systems by the first day of integration. The position calls for strong customer focus and composure during high-visibility go-live events and time-sensitive deadlines. This is a field-based position requiring travel to domestic and international acquisition sites approximately 80% of the time. Overnight, weekend, holiday, flexible-schedule, and on-call coverage may be needed during go-live and hyper care periods. The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and complete assignments within estimated timeframes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to be on-call and work flexible schedules, including holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to work overnights, weekends, and late shifts as needed to complete projects.

  • Action-oriented and self-motivated approach, with ability to improve the Integration team’s effectiveness, performance, and efficiency.
  • Knowledge and experience with desktop, server, and network management, software deployment, and tracking tools.
  • Strong knowledge of network printer installation, setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of service desk ticketing systems and general service desk operations.
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Planner, Smartsheet, Jira, or Asana for tracking project tasks through completion.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-user computing workstream for assigned acquisition integrations, from planning through completion, with limited day-to-day direction.
  • Conduct pre-acquisition site assessments, inventory legacy end-user environments, capture user counts by role and function, and identify technical constraints.
  • Develop site-specific end-user integration plans, including equipment bills of materials, cost estimates, deployment sequences, and go-live timelines.
  • Track project tasks, dependencies, and milestones in VSE project management tools; maintain site readiness status; and report progress, risks, and blockers to integration leadership.
  • Confirm end-user readiness against go-live exit criteria and communicate readiness status to integration leadership.
  • Participate in integration planning, execution, and hyper care meetings while triaging active end-user incidents to maintain support continuity.
  • Maintain and improve the end-user integration runbook, deployment checklists, and quick-reference materials using lessons learned.
  • Coordinate vendor orders for end-user equipment and track purchase orders, delivery estimates, and inventory through site readiness.

  • Train acquired-site employees on VSE hardware and standard software, including Microsoft 365 fundamentals, VPN, MFA enrollment, and ServiceNow ticketing procedures.
  • Distribute site-appropriate IT quick-reference guides and onboarding materials and provide hands-on support on-site during go-live.
  • Verify that each user has role-appropriate access to VSE applications, network resources, and shared drives; work with application owners and provisioning teams to resolve access gaps.
  • Complete per-user access validation checklist sign-offs, document and escalate exceptions, pending approvals, or licensing gaps, and confirm peripheral connectivity.
