About The Position

Polygon Labs is a global blockchain payments company building and operating infrastructure for fast, reliable money movement. The company is developing the Polygon Open Money Stack, an integrated set of services and technologies for moving money and putting it to work. Its infrastructure has facilitated trillions of dollars in onchain value transfer and supports millions of daily transactions for banks, fintechs, enterprises, and consumer applications.

As fintechs and financial institutions integrate the Polygon Open Money Stack, the Technical Solutions Engineer will own the technical experience of building on Polygon. This includes API and integration documentation, the integration path, technical support during sales, and helping signed partners reach production. The role aims to provide a best-in-class payments developer experience that enables capable developers, including those using AI coding tools, to integrate with minimal direct support.

This is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the VP, Account Management & Support. The engineer will work closely with Product, Engineering, Business Development, Sales, and Integration Delivery.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with US payments, including ACH, RTP, wire transfers, card networks, or equivalent rails, and a working understanding of settlement and reconciliation.
• Experience leading customer API integrations from kickoff to production at a payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure company, or owning API documentation, SDKs, or developer support at an API-first payments company.
• Strong API and troubleshooting skills, including reading logs, debugging webhooks, and reasoning through authentication and retry behavior, using tools such as Postman, Bruno, or Datadog.
• Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to document complex systems clearly for external developers.
• Regular use of AI tools to build, document, and automate work.
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where the platform and documentation are actively evolving.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with stablecoins or digital assets, particularly wallets and onchain settlement.
• Experience at an early-stage company building processes or programs from the ground up.
• Enough coding ability to build demo applications.
• Experience with documentation platforms such as Mintlify.
• Familiarity with KYB and KYC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own the accuracy, completeness, and clarity of Polygon’s API and integration documentation, keeping it current as the platform evolves.
• Build quickstarts, sample code, and reference architectures that help developers, including those using AI coding tools, integrate independently.
• Serve as the primary technical resource in sales conversations alongside Business Development and throughout partner integrations, and document solutions for reuse.
• Lead signed partners through requirements intake, provisioning following KYB and KYC approval, sandbox testing, webhook configuration, and go-live validation in partnership with Integration Delivery.
• Develop deep expertise across ramps and bank rails, wallets and accounts, custodial and non-custodial flows, virtual accounts, deposit addresses, cross-chain movement, and webhooks.
• Build sample applications and demo environments to support Business Development and Sales.
• Identify gaps in the API and integration experience and turn them into clear, prioritized recommendations for Product and Engineering.
• Use AI and internal tooling to streamline onboarding, provisioning, and frontline support.
