About The Position

Printpack is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Technical Services Representative I or II. This role involves regular visits to customer facilities in the US, Canada, and Mexico, troubleshooting machine/material issues, documenting operating conditions, and supporting product development and manufacturing. The position requires a high degree of mechanical aptitude and the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers under pressure.   • A high degree of mechanical aptitude

Nice To Haves

  • A technical or college degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with a manufacturing ERP system
  • Experience in VFFS, HFFS, and Converting and Packaging Equipment Machinery
  • Job-related experience in the flexible packaging space
  • Fluent in Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Visit PPK US customer facilities in the US, Canada, and Mexico and their related Co-packers on a regular basis, field complaints, dispose of materials, and document operating conditions of film and competitive activity, etc.
  • Troubleshoot machine/material issues on site
  • Prepare the appropriate documentation on RMA materials
  • Maintain customer quality tracking for defective materials
  • Investigate defective materials identified in plants to determine the root cause
  • Coordinate with other Technical Representatives, the Manager of Technical Services, and Printpack plant point personnel to ensure consistent treatment of our customers’ materials across all plants
  • Aid Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Manufacturing in developing and commercializing new packaging
  • Identify areas for technical development where innovation and process improvement can create new opportunities or improve existing products, delivering a competitive advantage.
  • Support all ISO related procedures
  • Support Product Development and Manufacturing by working with Packaging Engineers and Plant Representatives in commercializing and refining specifications and quality procedures for new and existing products
  • Assist Sales, Marketing, and Product Development in assessing and ensuring Printpack capabilities meet specific customer performance-based requirements
  • Coordinate and manage commercialization trials
  • Augment Printpack’s quality support staff by serving as a liaison between Printpack and our customers
